Rowing Head Coach

In the spirit of John XXIII, Mary Ward and Ignatius Loyola, our College seeks to be people of competence, conscience and compassion who are committed to God and the service of others.

John XXIII College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Rowing Head Coach to join the College.

The Head Rowing Coach will, through mutually respectful partnerships, improve, maintain and promote the boys and girls Rowing Clubs.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

  • development and implementation of a scaffolded program of training sessions for both girls' and boys' seasons
  • liaise with Rowing Coordinator in the appointment of casual rowing coaches to appropriate crews based on their skills and experience
  • mentor and oversee the development of all casual coaches
  • manage all rowing equipment and notify Rowing Coordinator of purcahses as required
  • attend all training sessions, regattas and meetings

The applicants must actively support and promote the Ethos of the Catholic school and a current Working With Children card/application must be submitted at the time of application and obtain a National Police Clearance check.

Selection Criteria:

  • Level 2 Rowing Coach Certificate
  • Driver's License
  • Skipper's ticket
  • Current First Aid
  • Current Working With Children clearance and Police Check (essential)
