Primary Music Specialist - 0.6FTE 1 January 2016 to 31 December 2016

The College invites applicants for the position of Primary Music Specialist. A teacher holding this position will be committed to providing the highest standard of Music Education for the advancement of each child's musical development in the primary years.

Selection Criteria

  • A proven track record of Music Teaching excellence, especially in the years from PP-Year 6.
  • The ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding to young learners, and promote an environment of dynamic, active and genuine learning.
  • Ability to deliver engaging lessons of a high standard that stimulate and develop students.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Arts Curriculum.
  • Be inclusive of Children with special needs within the Music Programme.
  • Able to make key contributions both to Class Music Teaching and the extra-curricular musical life of the school.
  • Have strong keyboard and vocal skills.
  • Experience in producing Primary School Musical Productions would be an advantage.

Applicants must actively support and promote the ethos of the College and all teachers are required to have, or be prepared to obtain, necessary accreditation through the Catholic Education Western Australia, as well as registration with TRBWA and a current Working with Children card.
