John XXIII College is currently seeking to employ enthusiastic and qualified candidates for the following position:

Music Secretary / Assistant to the Performing Arts Department - Full Time

The Performing Arts Department at John XXIII College are seeking an energetic, organised and dedicated individual to fill the role of Music Secretary.

This is a full time position (41 weeks of school term, plus 4 weeks leave) and you will report to the Music Coordinator.

Responsible for:

  • Enrolments for Instrumental program
  • Instrumental and Music Cataloguing
  • Administration of Tutors - timetables, payment, rooming etc.
  • Event organisation, publications and publicity
  • Instrumental hire
  • Office management

Selection Criteria:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Comfortable with technology and the Microsoft office suite
  • Experience with MAZE is preferrable
  • An interest in Music and the Performing Arts is essential
