Around the Primary
Dear Parents
Today we celebrated John XXIII Day in fine style and this brought to a conclusion Founders' Time. It has been a busy and enjoyable three weeks. Most importantly, through their Religious Education lessons, the children have learnt more about St Ignatius Loyola, Venerable Mary Ward and Pope St John XXIII and have also had the opportunity to reflect on the special attributes of 'compassion, competence and conscience' in their daily lives.
Our whole school community commenced the day with a beautiful Mass. After recess the children had an absolutely wonderful time at the 'mini fete' with their friends. A big thank you to our Years 5 and 6 students, their parents and teachers for organising the super stalls - they certainly made sure everyone had a fantastic fun-filled Friday! All funds collected will go directly to Jesuit Missions and Mary Ward International.
We finished the day with hip-hop dancing for Pre Primary, Year 1, Year 2, Year 5 and Year 6 and team games at Revolution Sport for Years 3 and 4. Special thanks to all the staff for all their hard work throughout the day.
We can now look forward to the long weekend to rest and relax in preparation for another busy week in the Primary school.
Enjoy the long weekend!
Kind regards
Antoinette De Pinto
