Around the Primary

Dear Parents

It's incredible that a whole term has flown by already! It has been a very productive, busy and long term but we have made it. As I walked around the Primary School this week, it seems that the students are well and truly ready for a holiday. I am sure each and every one of them will enjoy their time away from school routines.

On behalf of the staff and students, I would like to thank all parents for their contributions throughout this term. We have such a successful term due to the most wonderful support of all our families. Just a reminder, our Mass dedicated to our magnificent Mums will take place on Friday 10th May, it is in the St Louis Sports Centre (new gym) at 9am. This will be followed by a visit to classrooms and morning tea in the Exhibition Centre.

I would also like to take this opportunity of sincerely thanking all our hard-working and dedicated staff for all the ways they have contributed to school life this term. May the school holiday period afford them the time to rest, to rejuvenate and come back energised ready for the new term.

This morning we gathered together to celebrate and recognise our Year 6 students as leaders of John XXIII Primary School. Each of the students received a leader's shirt and were reminded that they are all leaders by their words and actions, as well as, by the roles they have undertaken within the Primary school. The Year 6's were very excited to wear their new shirts and this is another way for them to show others that are all our proud to be leaders in our College. Special thanks to Liz Richards for designing the lovely shirt and to Paula Connell for coordinating the project.

Finally, we wish Mrs Fry a well-deserved and very restful long service leave. We will miss her however we can look forward to hearing many stories from Mrs Fry about her holiday adventures in term 3.

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Kind regards
