Inter House Athletics Carnival

What a wonderful day we witnessed for what was a very successful Inter House Athletics Carnival last Friday. The enthusiasm and participation from our students was simply outstanding and has been widely commented on by various staff and parents.

A special mention to the parents and Alumni that chose to give of their time to assist with duties on the day. Your efforts were a valuable contribution to the success of the carnival.

This year saw the introduction of a new timing system for our track events. Nick from Timing Solutions, which is a Melbourne based company, is to be congratulated on providing such a wonderful program that helped to improve participation and accuracy of timing on the day. Thanks also to our own Sports Coordinator David Maxwell for all of his efforts in tracking down and arranging use of this resource. I'm sure that you will agree that this coupled with the use of such an amazing facility in the WA Athletics Stadium helped make the carnival a most memorable one.

Many thanks also goes to the John XXIII Staff; especially our Physical Education team who are an absolute pleasure to work with. Your efforts and professionalism are simply outstanding and I thank you all once again for your efforts.

House Champions and Individual Champions and Runners up will be placed on the College website after they have been formally announced to the students at the conclusion of our John XXIII Day Mass.
