Around the Primary

Dear Parents,

Thank you to everyone who attended the Year 2B Mass this morning - there was hardly a spare seat in the Chapel! Our young students participated so well - sharing the readings, responding to prayers and singing joyfully and most importantly everyone was in great spirits.

Special thanks to Fr Wilson, Mrs Dillon, Mrs Allen and 'the terrific twos' for preparing this beautiful liturgy.

We welcome everyone to come along to our Year 5B Mass next Friday, 21st November at 9am.

On Tuesday, 11th November the Years 4-6 students joined the Secondary students for a Remembrance Day Service on the Chapel Lawn - the students were all very respectful at this event. At the same time, Mrs Gardner kindly organised a special Remembrance Day Service for our younger students. The 3G students shared some beautiful prayers and proudly sang the National Anthem.

On Thursday our Year 6 Touch Rugby Team travelled to Tranby College to participate in the IPSHA Carnival. The team participated with great enthusiasm under the direction of Mr Alderman. Special thanks to the parents that went along and supported our students.

As we are fast approaching the end of the year, I would like to thank all the parents, volunteers who have assisted in so many ways around the Primary School. It was so great to see you at the Parents' Volunteer Thank You Evening last night. Special thanks to Kristin Serra for sharing her time and talents with us at Primary Convenor over the last two years. Congratulations and thank you to Nancy Petsos for volunteering to take up this role for the new year.

The Primary students are certainly going to be very busy next week. On Monday and Wednesday afternoons the Year 3, 4 and 5 students are invited to attend swimming training in the College Pool.

On Wednesday afternoons, we have Altar Serving training for Year 5 and 6 students.

And there's more, on Thursday afternoons Year 4's are welcome to join in a friendly Floor-ball competition in the gym.

Plus, there is still plenty of learning to occur in the classroom before the end of the year.

Kind Regards,

Antoinette De Pinto
Head of Primary
