Geography

On Wednesday 8th August Year 11 2AB Geography students went to the Perth Hills Centre at Mundaring to study the impact of fire on the Jarrah forest ecosystem.

The students gained an understanding of the role fire has played in the evolution of our forests and the difference in behaviour between bushfires and prescribed burning.

They also learned some of the field techniques used by our forest managers. We were very fortunate to have a lovely day to gain a better understanding of the Jarrah forest.
