Thank you students and staff of John XXIII College for being part of Clean up Australia Day 2016.

This year was our best yet with more than 24,298 young Australians from over 1,119 High Schools and Colleges Australia-wide taking part in the event. What an amazing effort!

The House that collected the most rubbish on Friday was Ward, followed closely by St Louis and third was Loreto.

Thanks to your efforts, your results are counted among the estimated 15,657 tonnes of rubbish removed from our schools, local streets, parks, beaches, and bushland across the weekend of Clean up.

Green tip: Keep our beaches clean and safe and leave only footprints after visiting. Pick up a few pieces of others' rubbish each time you visit the beach to do your bit to protect the wildlife of the oceans.
