Around the Primary

It certainly was a full house with a great atmosphere at Claremont Pool last night for the Twilight Swimming Carnival. Thank you to all the staff and parents who attended the swimming carnival - your support and time is greatly appreciated. A big thank you to all those parents who challenged their child to participate even if they felt nervous or worried about participating in an event - this is excellent modelling and character building for your child.

Most importantly, the students from Years 3-6 enjoyed participating in their events and achieving their personal best. Well done to all the competitors - you certainly made us proud!

Congratulations to all the Houses:

Our appreciation is extended to Mr Alderman and to all the hard working volunteers. Special thanks to Glen Mitchell for always being so willing to share his amazing commentary skills with our school community.

We are so proud of our students as each one gave their very best and swam hard to the very end.

BRAVO to all our swimmers!

In Week 7 the Years 3-6 students will be attending the "Sculptures by the Sea' exhibition. Thank you to Jane Roche, our Art Specialist for organising this excursion. I'm sure this excursion will be a valuable and enjoyable learning experience for the students. Thank you to the many parents who have volunteered to give up their time to assist the classes at Cottesloe Beach.

The Year 5B students are very excited about our 'Roar and Snore' sleepover at the Zoo next Wednesday 9 March. This 'zoo camp' is a unique opportunity to discover Perth Zoo after dark. The program focus on conservation activities, including safe close encounters with animals. I'm sure the students are going to have many stories to share on their return.

Enjoy the long weekend!

Kind regards
