Career Planning Opportunities

Students in Year 12 who wish to apply for UWA studies in 2013 may be keen to attend a "Day in the Life of a Uni Student" in the April school holidays. http://www.studyat.uwa.edu.au/school-students/DITL has details of all the Day in the Life opportunities, for Arts, Music and Environmental Science students. There are further sessions for other faculty areas in the July school holidays.

Ball Photographs

The official Year 12 Ball photos are available for preview and order. We are unable to publish the login details for Maverick Photography in the newsletter, but any Year 12 parent/guardian may email me at hammond.sarah@johnxxiii.edu.au or the SRC Coordinator Katie Persse at persse.katie@johnxxiii.edu.au and we will happily send you those details.

Lost Property

There are still a few sleeping bags and a pillow at Student Reception left over from Manresa three weeks ago. If your son or daughter didn't bring theirs home, can you please contact Mrs Reith on 9383 0406 to arrange a collection time?

Uniform and Makeup

It is pleasing to see that the number of Year 12 uniform infringements of the first few weeks of term has slowed to a trickle. Boys now have the correct shoes, and girls are feeling more confident to leave their mascara for the weekends. We are still having a few problems with skirts rolled at the waistband and with students leaving various items at home in the morning before early morning school training sessions. Students in this situation will be issued with a uniform infringement as it is their own responsibility (not the parent's) to pack their bags properly.

House Days - 2012

Koolyangarra House Captains led a very happy House day for 2012 last Friday and on Friday 9th March it is Campion House Day. On this morning, the 8am Community Mass in the College Chapel would be a great opportunity for Campion students and their families to begin their House day by coming together in prayer.

UMAT Preparation Course

A UMAT information session will be held on Wednesday 2nd May 2012 at 7.00pm in the Social Sciences Lecture Theatre at UWA. This session will cover information about the test and what it entails as well as advice on how to register and prepare for the UMAT. See the downloadable flyer for information on gaining tickets to this event.

VOC Parent Information Evening

Parents of students in the 2012 Vocational course are invited to a Parent Information Night on Thursday 8th March at 6.30pm in the Circle of Friends Cafe. Further details will come via email.
