Year 9

Year 9 SOSE students have been busy submitting their tasks for the National History Challenge. The theme for this year is People and Consequences and the SOSE Department has been inundated with creative museum displays. Early next term judging of models, essays or oral presentations will be finalised and winners will be submitted to the History Association of WA. Well done Year 9s!

Year 10

Year 10 SOSE students recently took part in the 2012 National Geographic Channel Australian Geography Competition for the chance to win a place on the Australian team at the National Geographic World Championship to be held next year in St Petersburg, Russia. Good luck Year 10s!

Year 12 3A Geography

Geography came alive for our Year 12 students who went on fieldwork to Perth's Central Business District, Inner Mixed Zone and North West Corridor to find out for themselves the impact of Government Planning on the Sustainability of our City. Credit to all those students who involved themselves fully in the fieldwork and enriched their understanding of concepts covered in the classroom.
