Year 11 2B Geography Fieldwork in the Wheat Belt

Year 11 2B Geography students gathered data on land-use functions in different urban zones on the way to the wheat belt. They increased their understanding of the problems of wheat and sheep farming when they visited Avondale Discovery Farm in Beverley on Wednesday 6th August. It was a beautiful sunny day when our students strolled through Avon Terrace in York working on their transects. They made Mrs Beech and I feel very proud when some locals asked, "Are they your students? They are very polite. They stopped and said, "Hello!"; and they said, " No, Thank You" when we offered them cake!"
