Early Childhood Teacher

John XXIII College is seeking a dynamic, progressive and exemplary Early Childhood teacher. 

Selection criteria:

  • The capacity to plan and implement excellent Early Childhood teaching programs, including a balanced approach of Explicit Instruction and Inquiry-based Learning.
  • Display a willingness to be part of a collaborative and dedicated team.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum, Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards..
  • The ability to differentiate the teaching and learning program to cater for student needs.
  • The ability to analyse and use data to inform teaching and learning practices in order to improve student levels of achievement.
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills so as to engage positively with colleagues, students and parents.
  • An excellent understanding of Early Childhood theories and practices.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills that create a supportive and safe environment.
  • An excellent understanding of a variety of assessment and reporting strategies and be able to provide effective and timely feedback to parents and students.
  • The ability to integrate technology effectively into the teaching and learning program.

The applicants must actively support and promote the Ethos of the College and all teachers are required to have, or be prepared to obtain, necessary accreditation through the Catholic Education Western Australia.
