Mary Ward Centre

The Mary Ward Centre for secondary students was established in 1998 for students with varying disabilities and learning difficulties. The educational support program aims to develop in each student the ability to function as independently as possible, at school, in the workplace and in the community. To this end, the Mary Ward Centre provides a secure, caring environment where students are nurtured to achieve to the best of their potential - socially, emotionally, academically and spiritually.

Currently the Centre caters for 25 students in Years 8 to 12. Students have wide-ranging difficulties relating to severe language impairment, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, Aspergers Syndrome, autism, epilepsy, hearing and visual impairment and specific learning difficulties.
