John XXIII College Alumni collects personal information. The primary purpose of collecting this information is to enable the College Alumni to provide an association enabling networking, sending invitations to attend reunions and functions and keeping the Alumni informed of events within the College community.

Some of the information we collect is to enable the user to log on to the Alumni web site, such as date of birth and year of graduation.

Certain laws governing or relating to the operation of schools require that certain information is collected and that information is then rolled over to the Alumni database once the student leaves the College.

The College, from time to time, discloses personal and sensitive information to others for administrative purposes. These include, but are not limited to people providing services to the College, including volunteers.

If we do not obtain the information important to the College, as referred to above, we may not be able to up load the information on the Alumni database.

Personal information collected from Alumni is regularly disclosed to other Alumni. On occasions, information, such as Alumni activities and other news is published in College newsletters, magazines and on our website. Such information may be in either or both print and photographic format.

As part of the College Alumni’s publicity activities there may, on occasion, be situations whereby the College or local media may use photographs for publication in newspapers, school documents, news items, Alumni website. Should you not want to feature in such publicity, it is your responsibility to advise the College Alumni Office.

Alumni may seek access to personal information collected about them by contacting the College Alumni Office. Alumni may also seek access to personal information about them. Access is available with a password via the Alumni web site www.johnxxiii.edu.au

The College Alumni, from time to time, engages in fundraising activities. Information received from you may be used to make an appeal to you. [Such information may be disclosed to organisations which assist in the College’s fundraising activities and be disclosed solely for that purpose]. We will not disclose your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes without your consent.
