Performing Arts Committee

The Performing Arts Committee, or PAC, and its associated group, Friends of Drama, offer parental support to the Music and Drama departments throughout the school year.

Every year there are many music and drama events that showcase the wealth of talent at John XXIII College. These include musical soirees (featuring soloists and ensembles of every size), class and house drama nights, and of course, the annual school musical.

These events are always very entertaining and enjoyable and at the same time provide invaluable performance experience for the students.

The PAC supports these events in a number of ways, including:

· providing supper at soirees;
· organising and staffing entry greeting, distributing programs and accepting donations at soirees;
· coordinating interval refreshments at drama nights; and
· organising front-of-house and intermission hospitality for the school musical.

Friends of Drama

Associated with the PAC is Friends of Drama, which supports the Drama department by:

· costume-making and mending;
· sourcing props; and
· helping maintain the school’s extensive costume and props collection.

Supporting the performing arts is a great way to encourage your children, make friends and to be involved with the College community. If you’re interested in helping out the PAC would love to hear from you.
